Year 5 22/23 Archive

As part of our Computing Day, Jacqui from CLC came in to our class to help develop our digital literacy, computational and problem solving skills. We used a variety of apps such as GeoBoard and Sphero Edu. The children had lots of fun working together in teams to build a chariot and programme the Sphero to move it safely around the classroom.

In our first Art topic this year, we have been analysing and evaluating different pieces of artwork. We adopted the style of impressionist painters, using techniques of form, shape and colours to replicate a piece of artwork. We have also explored repeated patterns by designing zentangle patterns and printing. We have enjoyed this topic and enjoyed creating new patterns and designs in our sketch books.
