Year 1W enjoyed our magical trip to Legoland Discovery Centre in Manchester. They immersed themselves in the awe and wonder of Lego building, the Ninjago City Adventure and the 4D Cinema to name a few.📽👷♀️😊
1W have have been learning about one of Britain’s most famous Scientists, Isaac Newton. We explored his life and what he discovered and invented. He realised that because the Earth was so big, it had a force called gravity that pulled other objects towards it. We had fun completing an experiment testing his theory using a spinner and paper clips. 🍎👨🏫🌳🌎
Early Years and Year 1 enjoyed participating in a celebration of Mary. They reflected on the special women in their lives and sang hymns and recited the Hail Mary. We ended our celebration by blowing a kiss to her picture. ✝️💜
Year 1W visited our Star books cafe today! They talked and read happily as they immersed themselves in a range of books from home. It was lovely to share our love of reading with one another. 📚🍎😁
We enjoyed using our creative skills to make an Easter card and Easter basket. The Easter bunny made it even more special by adding chocolate to our baskets when we were at lunch. Yum! 🐣🐰🍭🍫
We have gained so much knowledge during our ‘Minibeasts’ topic this term. 🐜🪳🕷🐛🐞🦋
We enjoyed observing, identifying and classifying a range of minibeasts during various activities. 😁
We had fun exploring the components and features of playground equipment. We then put our design and technology skills to the test by designing and creating our own piece of equipment. We were very proud of our end results. Excellent skills used by everyone! 🎠🏚🚸😁
We had lots of giggles carrying out our experiment to find out if we could beat the Guinness World record for the longest Curly Wurly stretched in 3 minutes. We were not able to beat the record of 4m 26cm but we did have lots of fun trying! 😄🤣😂🍫🧪
Children worked hard to improve their balance during our bikeability course. They learnt about the importance of safety when using a bike and they were delighted to receive a sticker and certificate for their efforts! 😊🤩
