Early Years and Year 1 enjoyed participating in a celebration of Mary. They reflected on the special women in their lives and sang hymns and recited the Hail Mary. We ended our celebration by blowing a kiss to her picture. ✝️💜

The children have been working hard with their threading skills, making and decorating pasta necklaces. This challenge is great for hand- eye coordination and hand strength.
This term we have started our new book – ‘We’re going on a bear hunt’. The children have enjoyed various activities such as: spaghetti cutting (cutting through the swishy swashy grass), story sequencing, writing about the story and the key characters and events and finding letters and sounds in the forest tuft tray.
We have role-played the story, written about the story, and worked together to create the characters from the story using a range of resources.
The children have lots of fun exploring our outdoor area, role-playing experiences or events from their lives.
The children have thoroughly enjoyed reading the story of ‘Dear Zoo’.
We have been learning about different animals and the importance of looking after them. The children had lots of fun using the sponges and soap to scrub the animals clean.
