Year 5MC had an amazing time when Kitty from Knowsley CLC came to visit. They used the app CoSpaces to create their own scenes and VR story. After creating their own VR world the children created a book using Book Creator to explain what VR is.
Year 5 enjoyed taking part in an active maths lesson this week. They focused on the topic of Multiplication, and they had lots of fun writing and answering questions for or from their peers.
Year 5 had a lovely day learning all about to become “Better Choice Champions”. We learned all about how to make better choices when shopping to look after our environment.
In art this term we have been studying formal elements of art and architecture. The children used their observational skills to sketch an accurate drawing of Saint George’s Hall. Once they had completed their sketch, the children then created a monoprint using ink based on a small abstract section of their sketch.
The children then discovered lots of information about the artist Friedensreich Hundertwasser and created an image inspired by his work.
In PE with have been covering outdoor and adventurous lessons focusing on teamwork and problems solving. We have had so much fun working together to complete a set of challenges. Well done everyone!
Our first RE topic this year was ‘Loving’. We explored Unconditional Love and how we can show Unconditional Love. To finish, we planned a lovely Collective Worship, and we even had juice and biscuits too.
Welcome to Year 5! We are all looking forward to an amazing year having fun and working hard together. I’m sure we will some great things this year.
