School Rules

Our school rules are simple and we expect all pupils to keep them:

In our school:

  • We put our hands up for attention and listen to each other
  • We always respect each other’s property
  • We keep our hands and feet to ourselves
  • We do as we are asked straight away
  • We are kind in what we say and do
  • We work quietly and do our best
  • We walk quietly and calmly around the school
  • We play sensibly in the playground

On our playground:

  • We are kind in what we say and do
  • We respect the adults on duty and do as we are told straight away
  • We always tell an adult if we feel frightened or sad
  • We play sensibly with the school equipment
  • We ask permission to leave the playground
  • When the whistle blows, we stand still
  • When the second whistle blows, we walk to our line
  • We walk sensibly and quietly to our classroom

We always ask our pupils to arrive at school on time. If you arrive late, you must come through the main office, so that the register can be marked and your dinner ordered. We would rather have you in late than not at all. If children are late for school they receive a late mark in the register, regular lateness will result in a letter to parents asking for an explanation. If children are absent, a letter should be sent in explaining this on their return. If a future absence is anticipated a note to school beforehand would be helpful. Also, if there is any reason why a pupil cannot do P.E. or go swimming, we must have a letter from parents saying so.
